Step 1: Getting a Quote

The first step in the process is meeting with you, assessing your needs, and generating a comprehensive written estimate. This estimate is primarily based on the selected material (if not known, a standard will be quoted), edge profile; back or side splash; and cutouts. We also offer the option of getting a quote through email, fax or over the phone.   Contact us here

Selecting the perfect stone comes next. Appointments for Slab Selection must be made through our office in Shakopee, MN to enable our staff to accompany you through the process. When picking out your stone, you might consider bringing a sample of your tile, wall colors, cabinet door or any other detail.  We listen to your ideas and make helpful recommendations to suit your style and budget. We will inspect and tag your stone choice, and will start to prepare your order. After which your project is ready for the next step...

Step 2: Starting on your project

We will schedule a time during the day when we will send our staff to make an onsite Template Appointment. (Note that your cabinetry must be installed, and all appliances and/or sinks must be available.) This is an important step because this is the time to inquire about any details that you might want in your project. Understand that once the templates have reached our location, it is a solid "go" for the project. Universal Stone requires a 50% deposit to proceed to the next phase of cutting and fabrication.

Once the stone & templates have been approved and both reach our location, the cutting and fabrication phase of the project begins. We usually ask for approximately 2 weeks for scheduled installation.

Step 3: Quality Installation

We will schedule & install your finished product with commercial sealants good for a year (lifetime sealer available with extra cost. Please talk to our staff if interested) and perform a precise installation. Our exclusive installation team will make every effort to expedite the installation of your counters. Most installation projects only require approximately 4-6 Hours. We will then request the final 50% of your balance.
